Description of the Position
The candidate is required to develop our Electronic Trading business in the New York time zone. This is across G10, EM spot deliverable and non-deliverable currencies.
Team structure: The FXLM E-Trading business is responsible for pricing and risk managing electronic FX, including spot, forwards, and NDFs. The group consists of the following functions: e-traders, quants, quant developers, business architects, and the client management team.
Business development in the NY time zone: in collaboration with the head of FXLM E-Trading, functional E-Trading heads, our colleagues in local markets and with sales management, prepare and execute a strategy to optimally deliver the franchise and drive value for our clients locally.
Trading oversight: performing supervisory responsibilities over the e-traders in the NY time zone so as to ensure that the risks which the e-trading business is exposed to are assessed and managed prudently.
Team oversight: manage the cross-functional NY E-Trading team.
Collaborate with our local colleagues in electronic and voice sales, and act as a local lead for client interaction with the E-Trading business.
Mentor and contribute to the growth of junior colleagues in the locality through training. Take the lead in participation in our local graduate programmes.
Work in collaboration with global technology and quant teams, as well as other functions to continue innovation in the field of pricing and risk management of e-trading client flows.
Operate as the local contact within the business for the second line functions (Market Risk, Model Risk Management, Credit Risk, and Compliance)
In this role the successful candidate will be part of one of the largest FX eTrading business in the industry. He/she will be responsible for ensuring the business maximizes the value of our client franchise and that ensures that our growing e-trading business operates in a way which is additive to our voice franchise, rather than detracting from it. The candidate will have a key role in driving the strategy of our electronic client offering.
• Deep knowledge of the electronic FX trading business
• Extensive sell side FX trading exposure
• Specific knowledge of cash FX products and regulations
• Proven track record in commercial and effective decision making
• Strong quantitative knowledge and experience, to at least Bachelor’s degree standard.
• Experience in operating as a stakeholder in the delivery of E-Trading technology.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Candidates will have strong written and oral communication skills. They will be required to work well within a team environment and with key stakeholders from sales and trading.
